7. 3 money bags per boy
8. 1 carrier bag per boy
Instructions
Step 1:
Give each boy their subscription fees back and tell them to put it in 1 of their money bags.
Step 2:
Ask each boy to select items from your 'Shop' up to the closest value they can
Step 3:
Serve each boy at the cash box – Put their 'items' in one money bag and their change in the other
remembering to take their subscription fee as payment at this time
Step 4:
Ask each boy to fill in sheet 1A Pg.3 – ensure you have not given them Pg.4 at this point.
Remember that the boys will need assistance counting.
Step 5:
Once every boy has been 'served' go over the most popular choices and explain the unhealthy
aspects of them
Step 6:
Take the change from each boy and their snack cards and replace them with a healthy shopping
bag each. [*OPTIONAL* If you have prepared change bags (preparation point 4) hand these out at
the same time. Explain to the boys how they can, by changing their choices, get more for their
money, eat and drink healthier and have more change that they could save to spend on other things
they love.
