Description

Canadian birthday tradition where the birthday boy or girl is 'lovingly' pinned to the ground and their nose is smeared with butter or grease therefore making them too slippery for bad luck to take hold in the coming year.

Resources

Butter (Alternatives: face paint, stickers, felt tip)

If the young people dont want anything putting on their nose they can just boop each other on the nose instead.

Instructions

Divide the group into two teams. Decide which team will be the birthday Cubs.

The aim is for all the birthday Cubs to get their caught and have thier nose "greased". The young people catching need to tig a birthday Cub first and once they've stopped moving then "grease" thier nose.

Once a birthday Cub has had their nose greased they are out and need to go and sit down.

When all the birthday Cubs have had their noses greased the game ends and swap teams.
