Instructions

Dogs
o Ensure comfort for your dog. This includes temperature, comfort items or toys, and
enough room to spread out!
o Put their food and water near the bed.
o Make the space stimulating and enriching. Providing some toys and long-lasting
chews.
o Dog-proof the area for safety. Ensure there is nothing dangerous nearby, e.g. house
plants, chords, wires, toys that can be eaten.

Cats
o Cats change where they sleep so provide plenty of options.
o Cats like to sleep up high so give them some height
o They want to stay warm so keep it cosy
o Keep it quiet and do not disturb
o Cats don't like to sleep near their toilet so space it out

Gerbils/Hamsters
o A large cage with enough room to explore with places to climb such as branches,
ladders, and an exercise wheel
o Somewhere quiet and calm
o Include a nest box that they can hide away in, using straw or paper or specialist
bedding bought at the pet store

Fish
o Make sure the water is correct for your fish, ask your pet store for advice
o Provide enough space For Your Fish
o Put in plenty of places to hide with rocks and ornaments
