Instructions

Brief the Beavers the week before so that they are already familiar with the task they are to undertake (this satisfies the what, where and predict parts of the badge,

Use OS Maps to show the Beavers different maps of the park as well as the satellite view.

Show them the template map tow which they are going to add detail. Point out the compass points and legend.

Plan is to explore Green Lane Recreation Ground and prepare a map of it.
- one lodge footpath end
- one lodge playground end
- one lodge Franks Road entrance area
- one lodge riverside

All meet at the playground to end

The attached skeleton map provides them with a basis on which to add details such as trees, extra paths, benches, tables, play equipment, ponds, gates, &c.
