Description
Make a crazy golf course out of rubbish
Resources
A pile of CLEAN rubbish (YP to bring)
Paper
Pencils/pens
Tape (packing and normal)
Bin bags (for clean up)
Golf club (hockey stick, broom, or something similar)
Golf balls (tennis ball, or a football might do but make sure you take into consideration the size of ball you’ll be using when you design your course)
Instructions
(10-15 min) Work as a team to design your section of a crazy golf course, keeping in mind the rubbish you have, the ball you will be playing with, the area you have to build in, and the TIME you have to build it (~30 mins)
Collect extra building materials (e.g. tape and scissors)
(30 min) Work together to build your design
Rules for golf:
Clubs not to be swung hard (balls shouldn’t be flying around the room or going from one end to the other)
‘Hitting’ end to stay below knee level at all times
No fighting with or over the clubs - take it in turns
Each group explains/demos how to play their part of the course (PHOTOS)
Have fun playing on the Pack course!
Clear up
(~20 mins) An important part of any activity is how you clear up after yourself!
Put away what you need to keep like your club, ball, pencil/pen, tape, and design (if wanted - could put up on the noticeboard).
Break up your golf course and sort the different pieces into the appropriate pile/bag: recycling (cardboard, paper, plastic, etc) or general waste.
