Coloured pencils/pens:
- Blue
- Red
- Green
Copy of the map key pdf (if you are not able to print a copy or view it on an electronic device during the meeting please let the leader know at the start of the meeting so they know to share it on their screen)

Instructions

Compass points scavenger hunt
Leader to share screen and start slideshow
Read out the slides
Cubs to go and find the item they think it is and hold it up to the camera (you can hold up your own when they are all off the screen)
Re-cap the compass points if needed


Wolf Island
Leader to share screen and show the map key or map slideshow (depending on if Cubs have their own copy of the map key)

Read out the island descriptions:

Make sure the paper has a long edge at the bottom
Draw the 4 main points of the compass in the top right hand corner
Draw an island that is roughly oval and fills most of the paper
There is a circular lake in the middle of the island
A river flows from the lake down to the south coast
There is a police station on the north side of the lake
A dual carriageway runs from the east coast to the west coast via the police station
In the south east of the island there is a place of worship
There is a picnic site on the south west coast
There is a patch of coniferous trees on the north east coast
There is a campsite just west of the trees
There is a bus station on the south side of the dual carriageway just west of the lake
A post office is just south of the bus station
A town hall is between the lake and the east coast
There is a school east of the river
A footpath runs from the place of worship to the school
There is a fire station east of the lake
There is a hospital in the north west of the island

Everyone hold up their completed drawing (leader to share the final map if not using the slideshow)
