Week 2
Answers to last week’s questions:
https://members.scouts.org.uk/supportresources/2352/st-george-patron-saint-of-scouting-fs295414

Who is the patron saint of Scouting? St George
Why is this person considered the patron saint of Scouting? When he was faced by a difficulty or danger, however great it appeared, even in the shape of a dragon - he did not avoid it or fear it but went at it with all the power he could... That is exactly the way a Scout should face a difficulty or danger no matter how great or how terrifying it may appear. They should go at it boldly and confidently, using every power that they can to try and overcome it, and the probability is that they will succeed.
On what date do we celebrate this saint? 23rd April
What is the story of this saint? See here: https://members.scouts.org.uk/documents/AdultSupport/AdultNetwork/stgeorge.pdf

This week’s activity
Plan a party for you and the members of your household to celebrate St George’s Day
Your party should include:
Food. Why not plan and cook a meal, or bake a cake and decorate it in the theme of St George.
Decorations
Entertainment. You could read out your comic from last week (or find out the story of St George if you didn’t do this), you could act it out if you want.
A Game. Pick out, or create a game for everyone to play together.

It is traditional for all members of Scouting to renew and remember their Promise and Scout Law on the 23rd April, so why not put your uniform on and renew your Promise and say the Cub Scout Law:

The Cub Scout Law:
Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.

The Cub Scout Promise
There are different versions of the Promise so you can say the version that you prefer; the different versions can be found here: https://members.scouts.org.uk/documents/Cubs/Cub%20Scout%20Promise%20poster.pdf.
