Soft Tomahawks Indoors/Outdoors

Uses specific equipment designed for people with no formal qualifications / prior training/experience.

Scouts recommend that activity leaders running an activity with sharp tomahawks should have a minimum of one day's experience, however, no experience is necessary for soft tomahawks.

Instructions

1. Set up a designated throwing area with the boards positioned 3m from a set throwing line.
2. Brief the young people on how to throw tomahawks, and safety rules (e.g. listening to the leaders, not crossing the throwing line or throwing tomahawks unless told to, etc).

Activity could be used as a bit of fun for the younger sections, or introduce points for each of the coloured zones on the target to make the activity more competitive.
