Description
Scouts will work in teams to create a device that will protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a height.

Instructions
1. Form Teams: Divide the Scouts into teams of 3 to 5.
2. Explain the Challenge: Each team must design a package that will protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped. Discuss materials they can use.
3. Gather Materials: Provide a table with supplies like newspapers, straws, tape, plastic bags, balloons, and rubber bands.
4. Design Phase (30 minutes): Teams will have 30 minutes to brainstorm ideas, plan their designs, and construct their package using the materials provided.
5. Drop the Eggs (30 minutes): Move to an open area where a leader will oversee the egg dropping. Each team will take turns dropping their egg from a height of around 2 meters (use a chair or low ladder).
6. Evaluation: After the drop, encourage teams to check if their egg survived and discuss what they might change if they could repeat the challenge.
