Description

2 teams, players tug of war with an inner tube/rubber ring. First to touch their chair with the ring wins.

2 Chairs
A Rubber Ring/Inner Tube or a Tug of War Dog Toy.

Instructions

Split the Group into 2 teams and sit them either side of the play area. Number the players off on each side 1-whatever. Try to evenly match the taller Scouts with taller Scouts and so on.
Place 2 chairs at either end of the playing area but an equal distance from the teams, so they are all running the same distance as their numbered counterpart.
Tell each team which chair is theirs
Place the inner tube or whatever you are using in the centre between the 2 chairs.
Shout out a players number - they need to run around whichever chair is theirs, then run to the inner tube and grab it. The winner is the first player to get it back and touch the chair they ran around.
If they both get to it and grab it a mini tug of war ensues, pulling backwards and forwards until someone tires/gives in or outpulls their opponent.

Other info:
My Safety Brief normally starts with "no hitting, kicking, leg sweeping, nipping, biting or farting!"
Try not to match the smallest with the biggest scout.
After playing single players, try duo's. Can even try whole team but that can get messy!
Games lasts until at least everyone has had a go, so running time may be off depending on number of Scouts in the Group or how many times you run it.
