Instructions

1. Preparation: Ensure all Squirrels are dressed appropriately for the weather. All Squirrels should wear sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing if needed. Remind them to bring water bottles.
2. Gathering: Meet at the designated starting point and explain the route you'll take, emphasizing the areas to stay away from such as steep river banks.
3. Headcount: Conduct a headcount and assign small groups with a leader for each group.
4. Walking: Begin the walk along the path, reminding Squirrels to stay on designated routes and to stay with their group leaders.
5. Observations: Encourage Squirrels to observe plants and wildlife, discussing what they see (birds, plants, etc.). Allow pauses for group discussions or questions.
6. Headcounts: Conduct headcounts at intervals, especially at landmarks.
7. Return: When nearing the end of the walk, remind everyone about remaining together and adhere to safety rules until reaching the original meeting point.
