Description

Cubs will prepare simple bird feeders using natural, nut-free ingredients.

Resources

- Toilet roll tubes
- Mashed bananas
- Birdseed
- Paper towels

Instructions

1. Gather Materials: Provide each Cub with a toilet roll tube, mashed banana, and birdseed.
2. Cover Toilet Roll Tube: Instruct Cubs to spread mashed banana evenly over the entire surface of the toilet roll tube.
3. Dip in Seed: Have them roll the banana-covered tube in birdseed until it is well coated.
4. Attach String (optional): If desired, help Cubs tie a piece of string around one end of the tube for hanging.
5. Clean Up: Ensure Cubs clean any mess made during the activity before moving to the next session.
