Description

Squirrels will take part in a relay race to pack a backpack with essential camping gear while learning teamwork and cooperation.

Resources

- Camping items (real or toy versions, or pictures)
- Backpack

Instructions

1. Divide the Squirrels into two or three teams, depending on the group size.
2. Set up a central area with a pile of camping items (you can use real items or pictures).
3. Each team needs an empty backpack at the starting line.
4. On the leader's signal, the first Squirrel from each team runs to the pile, selects an item, and then runs back to their team to pack it in the backpack.
5. Once they pack the item, the next Squirrel in line goes.
6. The game continues until all the items from the pile are packed or until a set time limit is reached.
7. Discuss which items they packed and ask if any items aren't essential.
