Description
To learn about an iconic artist, the painter Frida Kahlo, girls will do a self portrait t in the style of the Mexican painter.
Frida Kahlo is a Mexican painter, Born in 1907 in Mexico City. Frida is known for her colourful self portraits. She has become an icon to people because of her unique personality, expressing her love of Mexico and its culture, and for her courage in the face of adversity.

Instructions
Talk to girls about who Frida Kahlo is (optional videos on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9XYtPqWLB4) (https://www.britannica.com/biography/Frida-Kahlo) her work features aspects of her body and self with exagurated features, many bright colours and strong patterns, and native plants and animals from her home in Mexico.
Print a copy of the attached picture for each of the girls for them to add their own face and decorate
Using coloured paper cut out flowers, animals and colorful patterns for girls to stick onto their portraits
