Description
Draw patterns on the side of a pint glass by engraving into the glass.
Resources
Dremel drill or mini drill with specialist glass etching bits
Heavy duty pint glasses or any other difficult to break glass
gloves when handing glass in case of breakage
facemask and goggles to prevent glass dust in face
water/detergent to wipe down glass
Instructions
Draw a simple pattern onto paper that will fit inside glass or print out silhouettes of things.
Attach the drawing/silhouette onto the inside of the glass.
Using a the mini drill turn on to a fast speed and lightly hold the drill bit onto the glass that you want etched. it is better to start with a thin drill bit to get a good outline then move to a larger drill bit to fill in larger areas inside the outline.
Caution there is no need to press hard on the glass, let the tool do the work.
use the pattern stuck to the inside of the glass as your guide.
Turn off mini drill and thoroughly wash glass.
