This action game teaches Beavers the Green Cross Code through interactive movement and fun!

Resources

- A large, open space to run the game safely.

Instructions

1. Split the Beavers into a space where they can spread out.
2. Teach them a series of actions based on Green Cross Code instructions:
- Single file! - Get in a line one behind the other.
- Hold hands! - Hold the nearest person's hand.
- Face the traffic! - Turn towards the opposite direction.
- Use the pavement! - Move to the indicated side of the space.
- Stop, look and listen! - Stand still and quietly look all around.
- Walk across! - Simulate walking across the road while looking around.
- Car coming! - Sit down and pretend to drive a car.
- Motorbike coming! - Pretend to ride a motorbike.
- Lorry coming! - Stand and pretend to hold a large steering wheel.
3. Once the actions are learned, call them out in random order while they perform the respective actions.
4. Encourage Beavers to stay in the space and take turns participating.
