This is a simple place holder activity for Air Activity Squirrels, to research and design their own Hot Air Balloon in their own way. This is especially for Squirrels who need a quiet space to colour in, draw and use their creativity. The activity can be simplified more by downloading and printing the Hot Air Balloon templates

This is a simple place holder activity for Air Activity Squirrels, to research and design their own Hot Air Balloon in their own way. This is especially for Squirrels who need a quiet space to colour in, draw and use their creativity. The activity can be simplified more by downloading and printing the Hot Air Balloon templates.

the activity can be made more of a craft with PVA glue and collaging coloured paper.


Questions To Ask Squirrels through the activity.

What colours is your hot air balloon?
Did you use bright colours or soft colours? Why?
Are there patterns on your balloon (stripes, spots, zigzags)?
What shapes can you see on your balloon?
Is your balloon the same colour all over, or different?
What did you use to decorate it — crayons, pens, paper, stickers?
Where is your hot air balloon flying? (over houses, the sea, mountains, space…)
Who is in the basket? (you, an animal, a friend?)
Where are they going?
What might they see from up high?
What name would you give your balloon?
Would you like to ride in a real hot air balloon?

You can:

Use 1–2 questions at a time for quieter Squirrels
Let them point instead of answer if they prefer
Turn it into a show-and-tell moment at the end
