Description

Walk at local camp site to find seeds from various plants/trees.

Resources

Envelope or similar container per Cub/pair/small group to collect seeds in.
Reference book if needed.

Instructions

Cubs to collect seeds from a defined area e.g. field, campsite, along a hike route. Set a time limit and recall signal. Encourage Cubs to identify what they have found, how they are protected and dispersed. Finish with a discussion of what everyone has found, and identify examples of different forms of seeds.
