Instructions

Leader announces, "Group*, Group alert" who walks smartly to flag
* Or Troop, Camp, Parade, as appropriate.

Leader nominates Patrol Leader or Smartest scout in that Patrol (normal who opened evening)

Patrol Leader then pulls rope attached to flag

Patrol Leader then takes 2 steps back and looks at flag (checking its right way up)

Patrol Leader then announces salute the flag

Troop then salutes the flag

Patrol Leader hand drops to side

Troops hands then drop

Patrol leader then walks smartly back to patrol

Leader announces "Group stand at ease"

Leader does welcome and any notices for start of evening.
