Description

Snug as a bug is making a bug hotel out of wood, canes etc. This will cover no. 4 of the creative challenge: design and make something eg birdhouse, model etc (so a bug hotel instead of a birdhouse).

Resources

Ask parents to send in outer casing (plastic drinks bottle, tin can etc), cardboard loo rolls (to roll up into bug hotel)
Provide string
Gather leaves, stems, cones etc outside

Instructions

Tie string around bottle, tin car, loo roll, so that the bug hotel can be hung
Layer twigs, leaves, bark, pine cones etc within the casing until it's firm and does not move about
