Tissue Paper Glass Lanterns
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
Using tissue paper cut into shapes or ripped and watered down craft glue, cover a jam jar so it looks like stained glass when a tea light is put inside.
Resources
Tissue Paper (in small square, circles, snowflakes, other shapes), Craft Glue, jam jars, paintbrushes, water, tea light, matches
Instructions
Cubs take time cutting up shapes to decorate their jar. Use the glue (watered down to make it easy to apply) to affix the tissue paper to the outside of the jam jar. Wait for the tissue to dry. Place a tea light into each jam jar and light it. Turn off the lights and watch them glow. (You could also use the fake tea lights available to avoid fire-related health and safety issues!)
Cubs also have to design and fit their own carry handles.
