An opportunity to revise the Scout Promise and for new members to learn it.
Large sheets of paper and felt tips
Each Patrol lines up behind a sheet of paper, each member of the patrol has a different coloured felt tip. When the leader shouts go, each member of the patrol takes their turn to write a word from the promise. The first patrol to have correctly written out the promise wins. The different coloured pens make it easier to check they took it in terms if there's a lot of them.
Have words from the promise and the law cut out at one end of the room. Working in patrols, scouts run to collect a word or phrase and run back to the patrol, then another patrol runs for the next word, meanwhile the rest of the patrol put the words into the right order.
