Use the following link for easy to follow instructions on how to find the night sky. Print them off for the young people to keep. On a clear night go outside and put the instructions into practice!

Although this is a fairly quick activity, you will find that Beavers and Cubs will be very interested in the different stars. It's great to see if they can find others as well as locating the Pole. While you've got their attention it's a good time to explain why we can navigate using the Pole star.
