one 10cm circle of card each, string or a cocktail stick, colouring pens, pencil

Instructions

Print out coloured segment cards and, if running activity alongside other experiments, cut them out prior to meeting to save time. Beavers then use a pencil/pen to make the hole in the centre. Slip the spinner onto a length of string or wool. Ask the Beavers to predict what will happen before they start spinning.

Make two holes across centre of card circles, having coloured two discs and stuck them together. thread string through both holes and knot together, then spin.
