Blind tasting of various brands of baked beans including healthier and flavoured options

Resources

10 different cans of baked beans - brand versus supermarket, low salt/sugar v "full fat" varieties, flavoured options (cheese, chilli etc), paper to record results

Instructions

Put beans in numbered containers and place on tables whilst opening games are running and then ask cubs to taste and comment on each - flavour, like/dislike scale, colour, texture etc, guess at the actual name. At the end of half an hour round up results and highlight which ones were which, which ones are high in salt and suger, discuss protein contents etc
