Resources
8" square baking or foil tray or similar
Baking/greaseproof paper to line tray
200g Dark Chocolate
2-3 tbsp Golden Syrup
135g Butter or Margarine
200g Digestive biscuits
100g or chopped marshmallows or mini marshmallows
Optional Ingredients
Raisins
Popcorn
Chopped twix
or any other tasty treats
Instructions
This recipe comes from BBC Good Food website.
Line your foil tray with baking/greaseproof paper.
Place biscuits into a freezer bag and bash with your fist until they're broken into a mixture of everything between dust and 50p size lumps. Put this to one side.
In a large saucepan melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup over a gentle heat stirring it constantly until there are no more lumps of chocolate visible, then remove from the heat.
Take Biscuits, marshmallows and any additional delicious ingredients and pour into the pan of the chocolate mixture. Stir all this into the mixture until everything is completely covered.
Tip the mixture into the lined baking tray and spread the mixture out to the corners.
When you get your Rocky Road home:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours then dust with icing sugar and cut into 14 fingers or other size if you wish. You could also put a glace cherry or red sweet on each piece as you are selling them for red nose day.
Over the next few days your task is to sell your Rocky Road Treats to friends, family and neighbours and make as much money as you can for Comic Relief.
