Easter Crispie Nest Cakes

Description
A chocolate crispie cake decorated to look like Easter Nests with chocolate eggs.
Resources
- Cereal - 3 Shredded Wheat preferable as more nest like approx 50g. Or 50g (two cups) Cornflakes or Rice Crispies
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (you can use broken up chocolate if you prefer).
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons or 50g butter/ margarine
- Paper cake cases or baking parchment
- Mini Eggs to decorate
- Saucepan to heat on a hob, or bowl to heat in microwave.
Instructions
Place butter/margarine, cocoa, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan.
Heat very gently stirring with a wooden spoon until melted.
If using a microwave put ingredients into a bowl and heat.
When all melted, remove from heat.
Add cereal into mixture and stir.
If using cake case put a tablespoonful of mixture into each cake case. Alternatively make nest shape on baking parchment.
Place mini eggs in the centre of each nest.
Cool.
When set these are ready to eat, but can be kept in a tin or container.
Remember to clear away and wash up.
