visit to a local church as part of the faith badge, to learn about the parts of a church, i.e font, nave, pulpit, altar, stained glass windows, lectern and pews. Also to gather facts and information about a place of worship different to their own.

Instructions

Having sent a reminder the previous week, Arrange for all Beavers to to meet at the church and introduce the Beavers to the church its traditions and how old it is etc. Each group will have a q and a sheet. They can do rubbings within the church to provide evidence for their answers and they can search for as many familiar tombstones as they can find.
A prayer can be written or spoken at the closing ceremony(depending upon time as some may find it difficult to write quickly)
