Go to local running track or mark out 100m on footpath outside Scout Hut and get Scout to pace it out

Instructions

Pace off 100m counting everytime your left foot strikes. Count that as your pace count - best of three will give you an average - you now know how many paces it takes you to walk 100m

remind the young people this will change as they grow up they will need to re-check this each year
