Journey Sticks

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK View in OSM NZ

During an outdoor walk the Beavers tie objects such as leaves, flowers, berries etc to their stick which represents their journey. This is an Australian Aboriginal tradition.

Sticks, wool or string, different colours can be used to depict the weather.

Beavers can either collect items in a bag and then tie onto their stick when they are back in the hut or they can each start with a piece of sting attached to their stick and then tie on items as they go. The journey stick will represent the season in which it is made
