Resources

Coloured papers, magazines, newspapers, White paper, scissors, tape, glue....etc
Whatever your young people feel they might need to express their creativity!

Instructions

Learn about Scouts during the wars before the activity to help the young people with ideas for their collage. You can find all the information you need on the Scout website.
https://www.scouts.org.uk/supporters/remembrance/scouts-during-the-wars/

Ask the young people whether they would like to make the collages individually or in their six/patrol. If they are working in groups then their collage should be at least A3 or bigger.

Lay out all your materials and let the young people come and go as they please choosing what they would like to use.
Encourage them to think about what colours they'll use or are there certain words they can find in the newspapers to cut out.
For younger sections it helps and saves time if images are already cut out of the magazines/newspapers.
