Remembrance: Hero of WW1

Captain Noel Chavasse was a Doctor in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was awarded the Military Cross, and then twice was awarded the Victoria Cross, on the second occasion posthumously.
He received the Awards for risking his life to save others. Please read through all the attached material, print out the pictures and talk about his life.

Instructions

Remember to set the scheme, let the children imagine being in the front lines of the trenches. Perhaps rebuild the trenches with tables, chairs, benches, rope and string criss crossing the hall, mimicking barbed wire. Finish the evening with a minutes silence
