Village Hall or Scout Hut with suitable sized oven and pleasant area to entertain guests.

Instructions

Spend 1 meeting practicing the trickier part of the menu (chopping onions, making bechamel sauce & making a mini trifle from our menu) and food hygiene. On another night we made place cards & table decorations. Then on the Cook Up evening we met 3 hours before the parents were invited and prepared the meal. We had 8 Cubs cooking for 35 people with 4 Leaders which felt right. Our menu was lasagne, garlic bread, side salad and blueberry trifle. We let the children work out the table plans and we provided plastic glasses so parents could enjoy a drink while we washed up with the Cubs.
