Play a piece of music and let the Beaver Scouts paint a picture of what they think it portrays or how it makes them feel.

Instructions

- Listen to a piece of unusual music. It could be an old
favourite of yours that the Beaver Scouts have never heard
before or a piece from another country or culture or even a
piece of ‘classical’ or ‘historical’ music
- Now provide plenty of painting materials and ask the Beavers to paint a picture that
goes with the music
- Play it while they are painting and think about the effect you want. You could use it to
calm things down with everyone sitting quietly or you could inject some verve by
covering a large area with wallpaper/lining paper for them to wildly create an
energy-filled masterpiece with some loud, commanding music playing
