Description
Easter Egg nests made using water balloons
Resources
Water balloons, crochet yarn (or similar), mini chocolate eggs, PVA glue, water, bowls, newspaper, pegs, washing line (string)
Instructions
A bit messy - so lots of newspaper needed. Put 2 or 3 mini eggs into the water balloon, then blow up and tie a knot in the end. Using a length of the yarn, dip it in a bowl with a mix of 50/50 PVA/Water, and then wrap it round and round the balloon, criss-crossing to make a netting design. Then peg up to dry on a line (with newspaper underneath to catch the drips). When the yarn is fully dry, pop the balloon and extract from the yarn casing, leaving the eggs in the nest. Tweezers might be needed to get all the balloon out.
