Plastic sheeting, ropes, plenty of trees & fallen branches, first aid kit, prizes for the best! Local woods, risk assessment Hi viz jackets, whistle.

Instructions

In teams, provide Beavers/Cubs with plastic sheet & rope and instruct them to find a spot to build a shelter in a designated time. Suggest they build other structures/facilities you might need if sheltering eg campfire/ cooking spit, washing line, seating etc with available woodland materials. If time include a scavenger hunt for each team. Award prizes/lodge credits to the best shelter/camp/hunters.
