Cubs construct some tin can stilts then take part in a series of games utilising the stilts

tin cans (standard size), string

Instructions

Construction of the stilts is straight forward with many sites on internet giving detailed instructions

Once built the cubs are given some time to practice then run a series of team games in which the stilts are used (eg relay race with one pair of stilts per six, 3 at one end 3 at the other and they have to use the same pair of stilts
