Hike at night to look at the night sky. Combine a fun hike with the new space badge. We call this our midnight torch walk!

Resources

Leaders, First Aid, Parent helpers.
Looking for 1:4 ratio of helpers to beavers ideally
Torches
Warm clothes
Wellies or Walking Boots

Instructions

Plan your route. The route we choose has a telescope part way round so we can see if we can see any of the constellations or a closer look at the moon. We will stop half way and have a snack and discuss the latest space mission. Leaders & helpers to wear hi viz vests/jackets. Children to have torches and reflective clothing.
