set out a short hike around your scout hut give your troop the first grid ref then let them go and find it

compass, map, torch, paper pen

Instructions

once they have found the grid ref there will be the next grid ref with letter in the envelope get them to write down the letter once at the next grid ref same again find the envelope with the next grid ref in and letter this should carry on all the way around your hike untill back at the scout hut once back get them to make the word up of all the letters they have ie your scout troop name
