Run the length of the hall between the beeps and drop out when they fail to meet the beep.
CD with Beep Test on it, Stereo, and a Tape measure
Beep test is a test of fitness.
In the hall or field set up a line 20m apart, with a stereo (or Laptop) play the track attached. The scout runs/walks 20m on the beep, and again on the next beep. The beeps get progressively quicker as the stages are completed.
If a scout misses the beep, he/she has the next run to catch up. If they do not make the next beep they are pulled to one side and there score is logged. Through training over a period of 4 weeks the beep test is run again and an assessment can be made of there fitness progress.
