Dot Pictures - Create pictures using black paper and paint

Aboriginal Art can be understood as the carvings, paintings, and depictions of nature created by Aboriginal people. These are a group of Indigenous peoples who are native to Australia. They're a vast community of Native peoples who have lived in Australia for the past 50,000 years - the oldest living culture in the world.

Sheets of black paper
Good quality poster paint in white, brown, orange, red, yellow
Here are a few meanings behind the natural desert colours found in traditional Aboriginal Art:
White is the spirit colour.
Black is the colour of night and represents Aboriginal people.
Red is the colour of the land or of blood.
Yellow is the colour of the sun and sacred.
Cotton buds (Optional)
Examples of typical Aboriginal Art for inspiration (there are many on the Internet). Typically the Aborigines use Animals

Instructions

Show the YP examples of aboriginal art.
Get YP to create their own, drawing it onto the paper
Then using their finger to dip into the paint or cotton buds and make a 'dot' on their paper. Pictures should be made up of lots of dots with small gaps in-between.
