Make a Toasting Fork

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Cubs use a length of wire to make a toasting fork for camping. (copied from the Cub Section Silver Award Scheme Booklet)

Resources

Length of wire (not too stiff)
Pliers / Tin snips
Pole / ten pole

Instructions

Bend the wire in half around a tent pole.
Get someone to hold the tent pole while you wind the wire round itself until you have around 150mm left free and not wound up.
Slide the wire off the tent pole and bend the free ends so that they resemble a U shape.
Push a slice of bread onto the forks and hold it above the embers or a BBQ to toast.
