Description

A team game with minimal rules.

Resources

Two goals and a soft ball.

Instructions

Set up a goal at each end of the hall (we use small hockey goals). If possible, mark out an area around each goal where no players are allowed to enter.

Split the troop into two teams.

The aim of the game is for each team to score in the opposition goal. Start the game by throwing the ball up in the air in the middle of the hall.

The ball can be kicked, passed, carried, thrown - in fact any technique can be used to get the ball across the hall and into the goal.

Scouts can tackle the opposition players to get the ball.

The only rules are
1. You mustn't hurt any of the other players
2. You mustn't damage any clothing i.e. no pulling shirts etc.
3. You can't go in the area around the goals

Anyone found breaking the rules (at the discretion of the leaders) sits out.
