Instructions
Introduction
This activity will encourage the Brownies to eat healthy by showing them how to make healthy fruit kebabs.
Instructions
1. Each Brownie makes a fruit skewer by filling the skewer with fruit provided.
2. Once the skewer is full, they can dip it into the yoghurt and eat the fruit.
Discussion
Discuss the importance of eating five pieces of fruit and/or vegetables every day. Ask the Brownies to keep a record of how much they ate for a week and discuss at the next meeting.
This can be followed by a game of Granny’s Shopping Basket. Give each Brownie in a Six the name of a fruit and/or vegetable. Every time their fruit or vegetable is called, they have to run to the other end of the hall and back. If “Granny’s Shopping Basket” is called, the whole Six must run together.
