Introduction:
This activity will teach your Guides how to look after the environment and it will create an understanding of local issues.
Instructions: Contact your local Tidy Towns group and your local City or County Council to find out about possible events e.g. National Tree planting week in March, An Taisce spring clean in April.

Irish Wildlife Trust run regular conservation projects, they have a junior section –Badgers club, children’s nature group.
Debrief: Make a list of activities in September and discuss with the Guides which ones they would like to do. Ask the Guides to make a list of what will be required to take part in the activity e.g. Organise a bus; Parent’s Consent Form; Kit list –rain gear, walking boots etc.
