The 5 senses are -feeling, smelling, seeing, hearing and tasting. The Guides should be encouraged to develop each of their senses to the best of their ability by taking part in a range of activities.

Bell Ringers (Option one)
Small bell
Guides sit in a circle. One Guide is blindfolded. Give a bell to another Guide. That Guide rings the bell and then hides it behind her back. The Guide who is blindfolded removesthe blindfold and tries to guess who has the bell. Guides can have turns at being blindfolded and ringing the bell.

Noisy Eggs (Option two)
Small plastic eggs
Small items such as marbles, one cent coins, rice, stones, paper clips etc.
Narrow tape
Make up the egg ‘pairs’ by putting similar items in two eggs
Guides shake the eggs and listen to the sounds they make to work out the pairs
