Instructions
Introduction
If you have Brownies locally, ask one or two of them to come to a Ladybird meeting and tell the Ladybirds what they do as Brownies. Get them to play a game that they play in Brownies with the Ladybirds e.g. 1 to 12.
Instructions
1. Form a big circle and ask the Brownies to explain the game to the Ladybirds. The game is called '1 to 12'.
2. First, check that everyone can count from 1 up to 12.
3. Each Ladybird can say no more than 3 numbers at a time so 1, 2, 3, the next person says 4, 5, the next person might only say 6 and you continue round the circle.
4. When it gets to the person who says the number 11 as their last number, the next person is out as the only number they can say is 12.
5. They then sit down and the game continues until there are only two people left.
6. They play until one of them is out.
Debrief
Ask the Brownies to teach the Ladybirds “Brownie Bells” and sing it at the end of the meeting instead of the usual closing of Ladybird vesper.
