Introduction
This activity will help the Ladybirds discover different types of trees in their area.
Instructions
• Bring the Ladybirds out on a scavenger hunt in search of different species of trees in their area.
• Give the Ladybirds a sheet of paper and crayon each.
• Help them take rubbings of two to three different trees.
• Back at the hall help the Ladybirds identify the trees by recognising the differences in bark.
Discussion
Ask the Ladybirds which bark they prefer and why.
