Description

Cubs go for a walk in the local area and find the location of various points of interest using photos and mark their location on a street map

Resources

For each group: photos of points of interest (i.e. church, police station, library, leisure centre, historic building, cinema), a street map, pen/pencils, board for writing on, hi-vis jackets, compass, torches (if possiblitly of getting dark before finish).

Instructions

for each group:Photos of local points of interest (i.e. church, police station, library, leisure centre, historic building, hospital, cinema etc) are given to each six and they have to go for a walk with at least two leaders and then mark on a street map the location of each one.

Set homework to Design a poster, leaflet or web page to advertise your area to a visitor.
