Instructions

get all the Beavers to lightly dampen their hands. sprinkle on a little glitter ( if possible, a different colour for each lodge) to one hand of each beaver. then instruct them all to shake hands with people in the room. it will be easy to see that the glitter is exchanged between hands and surfaces. Then get them to wash their hands with warm, soapy water. Ask questions about germs, microscopes, etc - why it is important to have clean water and why we need to wash our hands.
